If you feel like walking, then that same journey is just a 25-minute stroll. In fact, it’s only around 20 minutes to walk to Covent Garden or Leicester Square from Waterloo.

Green Spaces: Geraldine Harmsworth Park (the grounds of The Imperial War Museum) and the local’s secret, Archbishop’s Park, hidden behind Lambeth Palace; the Garden Museum, Lambeth Palace Gardens (the Archbishop of Canterbury throws a few garden parties throughout the year, open to residents), Lollard Street Adventure Playground (brilliant for local kids!)
